Rob Jones

Direct industry experience – 19 years

In his (much) younger days in the police force, Rob was commended for courage. He brings this firm resolve and fearless approach to his business life.

Rob forged his own highly successful financial services consultancy. He was a Director and part-owner of The Money Managers Ltd., becoming General Manager (5 years) and CEO (3 years).

While at The Money Managers, Rob established a division to co-own and manage  start up ‘turnkey’ financial planning businesses. This grew to seven practices and $280 million in FUM.

As CEO, Rob led a team of 53 staff in six locations with a budget of $12mil and EBITDA of $4.3 million. He’s been described as “liking the facts” – something he happily concurs with.

After a successful merger with Shadforth Financial Group, Rob worked in the area of merger and acquisitions as well as implementing a national transition strategy for advisers and clients across the group.

Michael Harrison

Direct industry experience – 31 years 

Michael is a quiet achiever. He started out as a financial planner, co-founding his own company Heraud Harrison, which, over 18 years, grew to a 23 employee-strong brand generating $8 million per annum in revenue. As CEO, Michael ran his financial planning business with a clear focus on culture, clients and reputation.

Michael translated this success into a merger with the Shadforth Financial Group. He was a Director at Shadforth and was made Head of Advice. In this senior role he developed a national growth strategy for advisers, including sourcing and implementing third party acquisitions.

This ‘from-the-ground-up’ experience has proven invaluable for self-licensed/ listed and non-listed AFSL representative businesses. Having Michael on your team means having a business partner of exceptionally wise counsel.

Ben Sutter

Direct industry experience – 16 years

Ben is a self-motivated, driven individual who is methodical and precise.

Consequent to graduating with the awards of “Best Accounting Graduate” and “Best Finance Graduate”, Ben was appointed to a senior management position at Jeena Partners where he oversaw the development and implementation of systems, services and analytical research.

Throughout his career, Ben has held similar analytical oriented senior roles at both small and large firms, including positions on the Investment Committee and Consulting Committee at Shadforth Financial Group.

Ben is a CFA Charterholder, with demonstrated analytical skills and ability to synthesise large amounts of complex data into innovative commercial outcomes.

Elva Pica

Direct Industry Experience – 15 years

Elva is highly organised and able to build strong relationships with people on all levels. She believes operational efficiency is imperative to business growth.

Starting her career in financial accounting, Elva transitioned into Financial Planning in 2005 with an interest in helping people achieve their personal financial goals.

Elva commenced at Snowball Group as a Client Service Officer, managing the end to end implementation of advice. After 12 months in the position Elva was promoted to Adviser Services Manager where she managed a centralised team of 5 staff, supervised workflow, implemented personal development plans and built a library of procedures and tools to improve efficiency.

After the merger with Shadforth Financial Group (SFG) in 2010, Elva moved into an Associate Adviser role to further enhance her strategic and technical skills and knowledge. This was followed by her role as Practice Manager and Head Client Relationship Manager, where she managed both the operations and support staff in the Victorian and South Australian practices.

Elva successfully project managed the transition of over 3,000 SFG clients onto a new fee model and realigned client segmentation, which provided a clear structure to SFGs CVP and service offering to clients, along with over $1M in revenue uplift.

In 2015 Elva relocated to Sydney to take on a position as Advice Implementation Manager at Fortnum Financial Group. Elva project managed the build and implementation of their Professional Advice Framework and migration of over 50 practices to their customised XPlan solution.

Elva holds a Grad Dip in Financial Planning and Cert IV in Project Management.
